Grown sustainably in Shizuoka, Japan, and created from a single cultivar: Okumidori cultivated tea variety, well-known for its matcha flavor profile. With floral, honey, and cream flavor notes.
This matcha was sourced from a multi-generational estate, the Kiwami Matcha is created from first harvest tea leaves. Pesticide-free, organically fertilized and shaded by solar panels!
Stone-milling process: In older times, stone mills used to be rotated by hand. Just like that, these leaves are funneled down and ground in between two granite stones. The heat produced by the stone mills brings out the flavors of the leaves. Stone-ground Matcha has a deep flavor which a modern automated machine ball mill or a jet mill cannot make.
